What Do Counselling Sessions Look Like?

Seeking out support in a therapy setting can be overwhelming. So here’s a little bit about what you can expect from our time together, to hopefully ease any nerves or uncertainty.


Picture a sacred space of human connection that is not just about fixing problems, but rediscovering the incredible parts of you and what makes this life meaningful.

In our sessions, I invite you to cozy up with a warm cup of tea, slow down, and reconnect with your inner self, building trust with the wisdom within you. From a place of gentleness and curiosity, my focus is to be courageous alongside you as we navigate the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that seem too big to carry alone. Because let's keep it real - being human is hard - and I believe that healing begins with the permission to embrace our messy, imperfect selves.

As a long-time yoga teacher and professional figure skater, I've learned that healing is multi-faceted and isn't confined to talk therapy alone. We can explore other avenues like creative outlets (art, writing, music) or body-forward practices (breathwork, mindfulness, and movement) that offer solace and insight into self-expression. I'm here for all of it.

Embracing a holistic perspective, I believe that the fabric of our well-being is woven with threads of genuine human connection. Aka, a fancy way of saying that we heal in relationship to others. Together, I hope to help you return home to yourself, body, mind, and spirit. Whether that is through understanding and embracing the complexity of your emotions, building trust and setting boundaries, or healing your relationship - both with yourself and others - I hope you reach out.
